When a basketball player, who has played his heart out all game, misses a free throw to put his team (Xavier) up by 4...and ultimately, Ohio State drains a 3 pointer with 2 seconds left to throw the game into overtime...do we blame him? No. That's why I love the quote. Cage (the player in question) played his best game ever, as far as I can tell. You can't crucify the kid for the miss. Like the man says - you have to treat the first 5 minutes like the last 5 minutes. Its all the time in between that makes those 5 guys out on the court a team.
I love this time of year. March Madness gives everyone a reason to love college basketball. Its the heart you see these kids leaving on the court. And when OSU drainos a 3 to send the game into overtime, I get goosebumps.
Amazing.
