Band Bio

It's hard for bands to stick around and stay popular, but Red Hot Chili Peppers seem to have all the right things to be a long term success. The band was just in Cincinnati two weeks ago in the middle of their most current tour to promote their newest release Stadium Arcadium. The band was first formed in the early 1980's, originally under the name Tony Flow and the Miraculously Majestic Masters of Mayhem, which they were smart enough to change and shorten (although the alliteration is nice).
Their first hit to show up on the Billboard Top 100 was not until 1989 and the following year the band switched to the Warner Bros. Record label. By the end of that year, Red Hot Chili Peppers produced their fifth album Blood Sugar Sex Magik which was named #310 on Rolling Stone's Top 500 Greatest Albums of All Time and by 1992 was #3 album in the US. One Hot Minute was produced in 1994 after Dave Navarro was invited into the band. In 1999, with Navarro out of the picture a year before, the band came out with Californication with three Grammy worthy songs. The band went of a two and a half year tour before producing their next album, By the Way, in 2002.
Stadium Arcadium was released in 2006, reached #1 in the US and has been the most successful album yet from the Red Hot Chili Peppers. It seems that instead of fading over time, the Red Hot Chili Peppers have had the luck of growing. The band may have had some trouble with their members and changes in the composition of the band, but the changes have been for the best.

My favorites from Stadium Arcadium:

Snow (Hey oh)
C'mon Girl
Stadium Arcadium
Tell Me Baby
Hard to Concentrate
