Artist Bio of the Week

Once again the UK has sent us a great artist - Jose Gonzalez. Originally born in Sweden, Gonzalez's music is influenced by Latin music loved by his Argentinian - born father, UK pop rock, and refreshing indie artists. Gonzalez first found super star success in Scandinavia before moving to London and releasing his UK debut, EP Crosses, in 2005.

Veneer, his US debut, portrays his acoustic, folk-like music with tracks that have a perfect balance of vocals and guitar, creating a relaxing CD. Gonzalez records in his home, alone with his guitar, which seems to be working out well
for him. With youth, only 27, good looks, and talent on his side, Gonzalez should be experiencing just the begininng of his music career.

My favorite songs on the album:
Slow Moves
Heartbeats
Save Your Day

Amazing. Too bad I have seen Steven Segal leap over like 2 houses in a movie.

MovING and MovIES

When you're like me, and haven't lived in one apartment for more than 6 months (ever) [and that does include now 4 apartments] you get really good at moving. Its almost sickening. So today, I have everything ready to go, and its time to throw it into the truck and take it to a new place...hopefully I stick by the 12 month lease this time. We'll see.

Onto the movie front.

I got a call last night from a really good friend of mine - actually the best man in my wedding - and was politely, well not politely, told to refrain from seeing this movie. The Good Shepherd was described to me as being long, boring, and a poorly written movie that leaves you asking "what the heck is the CIA really trying to hide?" Tons of great actors and actresses and nothing left to show for it. Nice going DeNiro. Spoil what could have been an excellent movie. I guarantee I will not be seeing this movie. TZ rating ZERO STARS. No soup for you Matt Damon.

Next.

Rocky Balboa. This movie is Hard. I will admit its not Rocky 1, 2, or 3, but its an amazing movie for Stallone, and worth the money in theaters. Let me lay it out for you: When a man confronts his destiny and needs to fight again at age 60 to basically settle as his emotions and move on in life, what do you say to him? No? You say yes. Rocky has two incredible scenes. The first being when he lays truth all over his son by telling him that life isn't about the punches you can give out, its about what you can take, and get up and keep moving. I swear I got goosebumps. I am considering using that speech as a signature on emails in the future. The second scene is the final fight at the end, staged just like a HBO fight. This is a movie that completes Rocky... TZ **** out of 5

Look for one last post before new years; its good to be back.
