MovING and MovIES

When you're like me, and haven't lived in one apartment for more than 6 months (ever) [and that does include now 4 apartments] you get really good at moving. Its almost sickening. So today, I have everything ready to go, and its time to throw it into the truck and take it to a new place...hopefully I stick by the 12 month lease this time. We'll see.

Onto the movie front.

I got a call last night from a really good friend of mine - actually the best man in my wedding - and was politely, well not politely, told to refrain from seeing this movie. The Good Shepherd was described to me as being long, boring, and a poorly written movie that leaves you asking "what the heck is the CIA really trying to hide?" Tons of great actors and actresses and nothing left to show for it. Nice going DeNiro. Spoil what could have been an excellent movie. I guarantee I will not be seeing this movie. TZ rating ZERO STARS. No soup for you Matt Damon.

Rocky Balboa. This movie is Hard. I will admit its not Rocky 1, 2, or 3, but its an amazing movie for Stallone, and worth the money in theaters. Let me lay it out for you: When a man confronts his destiny and needs to fight again at age 60 to basically settle as his emotions and move on in life, what do you say to him? No? You say yes. Rocky has two incredible scenes. The first being when he lays truth all over his son by telling him that life isn't about the punches you can give out, its about what you can take, and get up and keep moving. I swear I got goosebumps. I am considering using that speech as a signature on emails in the future. The second scene is the final fight at the end, staged just like a HBO fight. This is a movie that completes Rocky... TZ **** out of 5
